If you're looking for a new gaming adventure or you're simply tired of WoW Classic, fan-servers are also a possibility. There are however many different servers to choose from, and the servers are very different, both bug and content wise.
The very first step is to filter your preferences, in the top of the WoW Private Servers This way, all servers that isn't your kind of style, will get filtered away. As a result, if you're into blizzlike servers, funservers won't appear. Same goes for the expansions, server-features and much more. The purpose of the list is to make it quick and easy for you to find a server. After sorting the features to your needs, a row of servers will appear that may be a good fit for you. You can see an average rating of the server and comments too, made by other players. It's now time to select the server you believe is best for you. After clicking on the particular server, you will find a website button, where you can get to their website and register yourself.
Now you will need to download the client to launch the game. The client depends on the expansion. If you have for example chosen a Cataclysm server, you will need to Download WoW Cataclysm since it's a 4.3.4 server, and so forth. After downloading, make sure to update your realmlist (read: How to edit realmlist) file to the particular server that you have found on the server list of Zremax.
Now you're all set and ready to play on the fan-server that you have found on the list at Zremax earlier.
